Cairns is an ideal starting or finishing point for your Australian vacation. Major airlines operate both domestic and international routes from our city. Bayview House is well away from airport noise but easily found by following our map.

With a year-round average minimum temperature of 20 degrees, many people not only visit Cairns, but go on to make it their home.

Cairns is same latitude as Fiji, Tahiti and Acapulco. Year-round warm days and balmy evenings are all part of the tropical experience. There is no better climate to enjoy the two wonders of the natural world – the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest

Cairns offers all the comforts of a large city as well as the pleasures of a tropical resort. The nightlife is safe, active and entertaining. The days are occupied with tours up to the Atherton Tableland, out to the Reef or into the rainforest.

Bayview House is close to the Cairns Golf Club, shopping centres and cinema. There is a bus service into Cairns within a couple of minutes walk. There are quite a few restaurants in the area. All major tour operators pick up within a few minutes' drive from the house.

Sports enthusiasts are well catered for in Cairns with golf courses, fishing, swimming, deep sea diving, white water rafting, canoeing, bungy jumping, horse riding. For night owls there are restaurants, theatres, pubs and clubs.
