Whimsical Gardens at Froog-Moore Park
Garden Path Garden Gate Japanese Garden Room

The garden at The Retreat at Froog-Moore Park is both secluded and substantial and has won many prizes since we started planting in 1990.

The garden has several ‘rooms’ such as the Japanese garden and old ruins. The garden has sweeping lawns and large shady feature trees. Hundreds of beautiful roses create an old-world feel.

Art works and garden sculptures are everywhere. A vegetable garden supplies ingredients for the homemade goodies on offer.

The garden is a delight to just sit in and enjoy. There are private corners and lots of garden seats. Perhaps take the time to enjoy your chilled wine (BYO) and watch the sun set. With prior notice, we can prepare a gourmet platter for you to enjoy in this beautiful garden.

We share the garden with an abundance of wildlife. The pond is home and breeding ground to several species of frogs and they certainly are thriving. The birdlife is spectacular with five resident kookaburras, families of lorikeets, and pink and white galahs making regular appearances. There is even a family of wedge tail eagles that live on the hill and soar overhead each day.
