Whimsical Gardens at Froog-Moore Park

Our aim is to create a sustainable garden environment given our lack of water.

Covering 6000 square metres, the garden at Froog-Moore Park is both secluded and substantial. A parklike feel is created with gravel gardens, sweeping lawns, an orchard and large shady feature trees. Art works and garden sculptures are hidden everywhere.

The garden has several rooms such as the Japanese garden and the old ruins. There are many private corners and lots of garden seats and hammocks. It is a delight to just sit and relax. Perhaps even take the time to enjoy a chilled wine and watch the sun set.

We are very environmentally aware and recycle guest water to our grey water system and onto the garden. We harvest all our roof water and use it for washing and for watering the vegetable garden, which supplies many of our ingredients. We source as much produce as we can locally to help reduce our carbon footprint.

We share the garden with an abundance of wildlife. The pond is home and breeding ground to several species of frogs and they certainly are thriving. Birdlife is spectacular with several resident kookaburras, families of lorikeets, along with both pink and white galahs making regular appearances. There is even a family of wedge tail eagles that live on the hill nearby and soar overhead daily.
