Sixty years ago the busy Brown family bought a farm to escape the city. Now the next generation, Sam & Margaret, have built four timber cottages and welcome
you to share their little piece of paradise.

Immediately you turn down Browns Road, the busy world of traffic, tight schedules and ringing telephones is left far behind as you wind your way through the dense rainforest of Maiala National park. Wildlife is a feature and you are sure to see pademelons (wallabies) as well as other mammals and reptiles. Over 80 species of birds have been sighted by guests.

Four luxurious architect-designed and cottages have been built, hidden away on the side of the picturesque mountain deep in the rainforest.

The exteriors of the cottages are made of ‘timber slabs’ so they match the old farm buildings. However, they have all been built since 1994 and are sheer comfort inside.

We have recently renovated an old timber and stone building, The Overflow, for use as a small conference centre. It is suitable for groups of up to 25. We have the usual facilities such as whiteboard, OHP and screen as well as a rainforest setting with fireplace, barbecue and outdoor firepit. We can guarantee you absolute peace – the perfect place to get the brain working!

The building suits work, art or yoga groups and also small weddings. We can provide full catering for your group and can send you a written quote.

We also have a wonderful Rainforest Amphitheatre which is the perfect setting for marquee weddings and functions. The site suits groups of up to 150. Ample parking space is available. We welcome your inspection.
