Mungumby Lodge is Cooktown's only rainforest lodge accommodation. It is situated on a private wilderness estate on the northern edge of the million-hectare Greater Daintree National Park. It is the prefect rustic retreat that takes care of guest as though they are in their own home.

The lodge is next to the Mungumby Creek. Set in tropical gardens, the private bungalows, main homestead and pool offer complete privacy. Native wildlife abounds in and around the lodge landscape. Your private bungalow is a hideaway in the wilderness.

Mungumby Lodge is the perfect base to explore Cape York and its Aboriginal legends, gold rush history, rainforest parks and magnificent marine life. The Mungumby team offer a very warm welcome.

• Organised safaris to Aboriginal rock art, huge rainforest waterfalls and wetlands are available. Likewise bird watching, botanising and naturalist guides are available.

• We have mountain bikes and trails, and star gazing evenings for guests.

• We don't often get small children due to location, but when we do, the children love the place without making a racket as they are inspired by the wilderness and gardens, creeks.
