Oaklea is a 120-hectare rural retreat, picturesque, peaceful, cooler than the lowlands due to our elevation, and seemingly closer to the stars at night! With Wilsons Peak in the east, Mt Superbus in the north, and Cambanoora Gap to the west, we are surrounded by the rugged mountains of the Scenic Rim Our garden is shaded by 100-year-old oak trees, under which we have planted camellias, azaleas and rhododendrons. The property has a significant stand of remnant rainforest and eucalypt forest, ideal to walk through. From both cottages there are excellent views of the mountains, and when you walk around the property you will experience views that are unsurpassed anywhere in the region. |
