Courtyards & Balconies at Port Mill B&B

BalconyThe large black wrought iron gates on Essex Street lead you into a beautiful courtyard where you might think that you had stepped back into a bygone era. The Old Port Mill which commenced operations in 1863 was most likely built by convicts.

The main courtyard has a central fountain which provides a feeling of coolness on hot, sultry days.

The limestone property has a likeness to European architecture but is also distinctly Freo in appearance.

The bedroom balconies provide varying views of Fremantle, including the Indian Ocean, Garden Island and the main courtyard. From the Duyfken Room you can gaze down on an inner courtyard with the soothing sounds of yet another fountain.
