HallwayThe Postman's CottageThe Postman's Cottage is a charming, heritage-listed house, available for short to medium term stays. Originally owned by Colin Ross, the founder and first postman of Inverell, it is one of the town's oldest homes.

Carefully restored and fitted with today's modern comforts, this historic 1890s home sits on Ross Hill overlooking the prosperous town of Inverell. The character-filled cottage is spacious, beautifully renovated and filled with antiques, period furniture and post office memorabilia. It is situated in beautiful tree-lined Brae Street.

Perfectly located within easy walking distance of town, the cottage consists of three large comfortable bedrooms (king, queen and twin), each fitted with quality linens, fans for summer, heaters and electric blankets for those cool winter nights.

Off the panelled hallway is the elegant sitting room, which has polished floorboards, plush sofas, fireplace, TV/DVD, stereo and a selection of books and DVDs for guests to enjoy. The fully equipped kitchen, with original wood stove, mantelpiece and vaulted ceiling, is situated in the original 'cookhouse'. The large bathroom has the original clawfoot bath and an English antique dresser, filled with quality towels and guest toiletries.

The dining area / casual living room next to the kitchen overlooks the private paved courtyard through french doors. The screened garden room at the rear of the house is a delight filled with plants and an old farmhouse table and chairs. The cool veranda with views over town and surrounding countryside can be enjoyed all year round.

Off-street parking allows peace of mind during your stay.

The Postman's Cottage provides non-hosted accommodation, giving you total relaxation, privacy and satisfaction.
