The Stirling Range offers some of the best bush walking in Western
Australia. All peaks offer excellent views and walkers discover flowering
plants at any time of year.
- Flowers are profuse in September and October. Well camouflaged
orchids bloom from mid-August to early November.
- From November to January high country walkers find more flowers
the higher they climb.
- From April onwards winter bushwalking is magic with the increased
likelihood of snow on top of the highest peaks when strong southerly
winds and widespread frosts occur.
