Perth, on the edge of the Indian Ocean has superb beaches. The coastline offers views and beautiful swimming locations. A comfortable dry heat and gusty afternoon breezes make Perth a paradise for water sports. Scuba diving, sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and parasailing on the Swan River as well as the ocean are available to all visitors.

Perth has all the amenities of an international city, including a wide array of restaurants – seafood, Italian, French, Greek, Japanese and Chinese; a variety of boutiques and great food halls.

Ten kilometres to the south of Swanbourne Guest House is Fremantle, its old sailing port now converted into promenades and bustling outdoor markets.  To the north is Northbridge, an exciting night spot catering for all tastes with family restaurants, bars, nightclubs and cabarets.

For those wanting to venture further afield, the possibilities are endless… visit Margaret River's outstanding wineries, the karri forests and spectacular coast; feed wild dolphins at Monkey Mia; drive inland to the outback, or take a trip to Rottnest Island 26km from the mainland.
