Providing a ideal base for your visit to Adelaide, Thorngrove is an easy 15-minute drive from the city centre, situated in the Adelaide Hills amongst botanical richness inherited from the early British settlement.

Although not far from the Australian bush, Thorngrove is surrounded by a landscape rich in colour and contrast from the russet reds and golds of autumn to the winter magnificence of rhododendrons, azaleas and Japanese cherry. It is an area rich in scenery, heritage and history.

Village facilities including banking, post office, restaurants and chemists and a 5-minute walk away.

Transfers

Thorngrove is approximately 35 minutes from both the domestic and international air terminals, and 30 minutes from the National Rail Terminal which services the Indian Pacific and the Ghan. Transfers by limousine, taxi or rental car are available along with public bus transport.

All tariffs (excluding the self-catering Keep or ) include either a light breakfast or room service cooked menu selection. Candlelight, silver service dinners are available. Each course is served privately and individually to your suite at your preferred time.

A dining room (right) is available for groups. Dining is not available to The Castle Keep B&B which has breakfast provisions only. Fine restaurants are nearby.

Sightseeing

Packages involving golf, eco-tourism, winery tours, etc are available. Thorngrove is an ideal base for visiting Adelaide’s Festival of Arts and the Casino. It is only a few minutes from Cleland Wildlife Park and Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens. It is close to Hahndorf and provides easy access for day trips to Kangaroo Island, the Barossa and Clare Valleys and the Southern Vale wine regions. Murray River cruises can be arranged and Mt Lofty and Mt Osmond golf courses are nearby.
