Turkey's Nest Rainforest Cottages accommodation at Mt Glorious is a perfect retreat from the bustle of city life – close to the city, yet a world away. Nestled in six hectares of tranquil rainforest just 35km northwest of Brisbane, Turkey's Nest offers the authentic, rustic atmosphere of a former forestry cottage, yet includes all modern conveniences for a relaxing bush getaway.

Ideal for a romantic escape or as a family retreat, you will have plenty of space with two bedrooms, full kitchen and a toasty wood combustion heater to relax beside on cool evenings. Awake to the sound of whip birds and a beautiful view through hoop pines and rose gums to the rainforest below. Relax on the verandah where a wide variety of birds come to feed. Take a walk past groves of palms and lichen-covered rocks, in the seclusion of our private rainforest, to the towering fig tree.

Situated in the D'Aguilar Range 620m above sea level, Mt Glorious offers welcome relief from the summer heat (nights can get quite cool even in summer – be sure to pack a jumper). In winter, as mists waft through the rainforest, warm yourselves by the fireplace, with a glass of wine, a book, and a glass of complimentary port.

Surrounded by Brisbane Forest Park and Maiala National Park, the tranquil village of Mt Glorious offers bush walking, cafes, an art gallery and a sculpture garden.
